Newt Decides to Call it Quits
Newt Resigns With the Democrats unexpectedly picking up 5 seats in the House in the elections on November 3rd, the Republican Party is now questioning its leadership and the direction it wants go. Newt Gingrich, feeling the heat, has decided not to seek re-election to the Speakership and will also end his term in office this January.28-Year Chart Using the Mystic Quadrate System, at age 55, it is obvious Newt Gingrich is at an important point in his life. Looking at his 28-year Saturn Chart, he is in his last 4-year Neptune period and at age 56 will start another 28-year cycle. The Card in this current 4-year period is the King of Spades, which indicates he has been working to accomplish a great deal to a high degree. The King of Spades is also his Natal Moon Card. This shows us where he finds much security.
7-year Chart He is also in the last year (Neptune), of his current 7 year cycle. In this position he has the 2 of Diamonds. This represents financial dealings and also cooperating with others in the area of values and worth. Since he will be leaving Congress, this can also signify a partnership or financial arrangement he may enter after he leaves. In the Mystic Quadrate System, 7-year cycles are considered a Seasonal influence and his current one is the 4th or Winter season of this 28-year cycle. Winter is a time where things come to a close and just as it reflected in our yearly cycle on Earth, it is a time for things to die, only to be re-born new in the Spring.
Yearly Chart In his Yearly Chart, he is in his 52-day Mars Period and the Direct Mars Card is the 10 of Clubs. Tens are usually associated with success; however they can also indicate an issue of control or power. (Breaking down the Number 10 we have: 1 (Sun), Creation and 0 (Pluto), Power.) His Vertical Mars Card is the King of Diamonds. Many times Court Cards represent actual people and this card probably represents those who are or were going to challenge him for the speakership had he decided to stay. One of the underlying cards with this was the 5 of Spades, indicating a change in work.
In both the 28-year and 7-year Charts, Gingrich is ending some major cycles in his life and getting ready to start entirely new ones. It is obvious in his current Yearly influences, that he is experiencing some control and power issues. Combining these with the other major cycles in his life coming to a close, he has probably felt on a subconscious level, it is time to bow out with the successes he has made in his work and get ready for the new direction in which he is going.
Unique to this System

In using these smaller ones, a new configuration in the card system has been discovered which I call, Mystic Conjunctions. In researching Mystic Conjunctions, I have found when one happens, a significant event transpires or it sets one up. In Newt’s case, he has had 4 of these in less than a month!
First The first one fell on the dates of 10/15 through 10/18. This was his 4-day Mars period in his 5th Lunar Cycle this year. It also fell in the 13-day Mars period in his 2nd Season of the year. The Quadrates from which the charts were derived from were #89 and #44, which are actually the same. The Card that fell in this position was the 3 of Diamonds. This indicates a magnification of a values issue and the Vertical Mars Card was the 5 of Hearts, the Composite Card between President Clinton and the United States. I think this is where the idea, can we trust Bill Clinton sprang.
Second This one involved the 2nd Season and the 20th Week and hit on 10/31. The Quadrates involved again, were the #89 and #44 and it fell in the Jupiter Period in both. The Card that fell here was the 4 of Diamonds which represents a good foundation in both finances and values. With this influence, I would imagine, Newt felt he was sitting pretty good.
Third This one hit exactly on election day. It involved the 5th Lunar Cycle and the 20th week. Both these charts were derived from Quadrate 89 and it was his Neptune Period in both. The Card in this position was the 7 of Diamonds, which indicates obstacles and challenges to something he
values. By placement in the Quadrates, the 9 of Hearts is also closely related to this card which also indicates disappointment and loss. It fell in the Saturn Column/Saturn Line, not the easiest place to sit.Fourth This one hit exactly on the day after the election and it involved the 6th Lunar Cycle and the 21st Week. This was a 4-day Mercury Period in his Lunar Chart and a 1-day Mercury Period in his Weekly Chart. The Card that fell in this position was the Jack of Diamonds, the Card of the United States. His Vertical Mercury Card was the 7 of Clubs, this represents obstacles and challenges to ones ideas and plans and it is also the BirthCard of Bill Clinton. This influence was in effect for 4 days in his Lunar Chart and was still present when he made the decision to step down. The US/Clinton connection in the Cards (Jack of Diamonds/7 of Clubs), falling under the influence of Mercury, with Newt stepping down, I would look to him to be more vocal about Clinton.
As we can see in his larger Progressions or Charts, Newt Gingrich is closing a major chapter in his life. In his current Yearly one, it shows some of the power struggles manifesting in his life to help close this chapter and move on. And finally, by looking at these new, Mystic Conjunctions in the smaller progressions, we can see the significant events, sometimes to the exact day, that shape our life and the path we are on.
* The Weekly Charts used in the Mystic Quadrate System are different that the 2 other known versions. The Mystic Conjunctions only work with the ones used in this system.
